Welcome to Norrlandsförbundet!

Norrlandsförbundet is a lobby organisation, with approximately  6 000 members, that operates in issues related to the northern part of Sweden, i.e. the five northernmost counties; Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland and Gävleborg. The organisation dates back to 1952 and with this it has the history and experience of developments throughout the region for a timeperiod exceeding over a half century. Nevertheless, we are today a modern organisation that studies, report and debate important issues concerning the development and growth of the region.

Our website as well as our other materials are produced in Swedish, apart from ‘Facts about Norrland’ in the section of ‘Kunskapsbas Norrland’ on the website. Due to the fact that Norrlandsförbundet concentrates its operations to Sweden and the northern part of Sweden, the language we mainly communicate in is Swedish. We hope that this won’t cause you any inconvenience. You are, of course, welcome to contact us to ask any question you might have or to give your point of view, in issues related to our operations.
